A big WELCOME to all the newest COG members!

COG has alot of fun things planned for 2008 including the annual Spring Picnic, the 5th Annual 12 Ounce Regatta, and our now famous Crab Feast plus discounts from local businesses for COG members. In addition we have other acitivities in-store including hiking tours, happy hours, and volunteer opportunities a'plenty! If you haven't renewed yet, please do so now. Remember, your membership to COG is tax-deductible!

 

Upcoming Events

  • COG HAPPY HOUR Fri.  May 30, 2008 – 5:30 p.m. – We be at Phillip's City Dock. Come out and have some drinks with friends you may not have seen recently.  Drink specials, free food and a some great Raffle prizes.
  • COG SPRING PICNIC – Sat. May 17, 2008  1:00 TO 5:00 PM –  Hillsmere Shores Beach! The COG Spring Picnic returns next weekend at a new location. Food and drink on the beach with fun stuff for adults and kids! More details will follow but save the date!
  • COG 12 OUNCE REGATTA – Sat. Aug. 16, 2008 – Same great race but with new classes and an even better party.  Don’t plan anything for this date.
  • COG CRABFEAST – Sat. Oct. 18, 2008 – Let’s hope for a plentiful summer of crabs!

  • EXPLORE YOUR BACKYARD: With so many interesting sites close by, take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy what is right around you! -  Hikes are hosted by your friend Steve Carr. Greenbury Point Hike was on Sunday  Sept. 30th. It was a awesome hike and no poison ivy! See pictures here . The hike on Feb. 9th in the Foggy Bottom Section of DC included the great outodoors, our beautiful Nation's Capital and an awesome finale at the Kennedy Center, pics are posted here . The latest hike in March at Smithsonian Environmental Research Center was very cool; pics are here !
  • CLIPPER CITY BREWERY TOUR was Saturday January 26, 2008. See PICS of all the fun here .
  • DONATION TO AMM! COG proudly donated $2500.00 to Annapolis Maritime Museum from the proceeds of the 12 Ounce Regatta.  Exciting times are occurring at the museum and hopefully the interior of the McNasby building will be completed later this year.
  • COG's Fall Crab Feast was October 20, 2007! See PICS here !

COG volunteers were needed for Back Creek Nature Park Sept. 29th. We helped plant over 3,000 plants! See a few pics here.
