The Chesapeake Outdoor Group – COG – was formed by a group of friends who share common interests in enjoying and protecting the Chesapeake Bay area.

COG provides a framework for its members to interact in pursuit of our common love of outdoor activities while also providing the vehicle for sponsoring community wellness and social gatherings.

Some of the fun activities provided for our members include organized hikes, picnics, monthly happy hours and our signature event, the COG 12 oz. Regatta.

Volunteer To Help At The COG 12 oz. Regatta!

In return, COG members donate their time and talents for various philanthropic events and with assisting organizations that are actively helping our community and environment around Annapolis and the Chesapeake Region. COG has helped numerous organizations through both volunteerism and donations. Check out COG's Mission statement.

Eco Bike Tours of Annapolis

Annapolis By Bike is a new business doing eco bike tours of Annapolis recently started by Steve Carr, a friend of COG. Annapolis By Bike offers a unique environmental and historical experience. COG Kids Group Formed

COG is pleased to announce the creation of COG Kids. COG Kids will provide events specifically tailored for children. Wistie Brown is taking on the task of planning events and organizing the cause. We are still working on our agenda of events but we envision events to instill COG's belief in learning about and enjoying our unique natural treasures and the importance of giving back to the community.

Thank You, Annapolis Community Foundation!

The Chesapeake Outdoor Group was the proud recipient of a $2,500 grant from the Annapolis Community Foundation. COG would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Annapolis Community Foundation and all those who helped bring this to fruition. Its our goal to bring Fun and Philanthropy to our community and with the help of people like those at ACF we succeed every day!

The generous grant from Annapolis Community Foundation is being used to jump start the youth group "COG Kids" and also to rebuild a valuable information tool -- this website.
