April 9th, 2005 COG's President (Jon Forst) and two board members (Beth Grant and Paul Tickel) and member Steve Carr, joined approximately 50 midshipmen and other volunteers on a Saturday morning to help the Annapolis Environmental Commission and the Back Creek Conservancy repot over 700 native tree and shrubbery seedlings!

These seedlings will grow on a sunny hill overlooking the Back Creek Nature Park for the next year, and be transplanted to sites in the Back Creek watershed later this summer.  Trees clean our air, filter stormwater run-off, and provide cooling shade to people and a habitat to animals.  A good effort on behalf of the local environment by COG.
