| 2004 was Chesapeake Outdoor Group's inaugural year. We started off with a bang and ended with a blast. |
| Our organization was in its infant stage. The membership was booming, we had events to plan, and other non-profit groups to assist. It was a lot of hard work and donated time but in the end it was well worth all the nail biting and every drop of sweat. Between April and December of 2004 COG volunteered in many events, we had collections of various items to contribute to other charities, and started some of our own events. |
- Collections we did for the Lighthouse Shelter, located in Annapolis, were over a three month period: toilietries, cloths, and food.
- We had a cell phone drive to collect old cell phones for donation to the MD victims of domestic assault.
- We participated in Make A Difference Day by doing work in downtown Annapolis.
- We have volunteers participate in the MD Seafood Festival.
- Many COG members helped out with the Eastport-A-Rockin, which benefits the Maritime Museum and the Sexual Assault Clinic.

| The Chesapeake Outdoor Group may have just gotten its feet wet in 2004, but it ended up swimming a mile and setting records along the way! | | |
